Insurance
I am in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Ambetter. I am also happy to provide you with a monthly statement (called a Superbill) which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
To determine your Out-of-Network mental health coverage, call your provider and ask the following questions:
- what are my mental health benefits?
- what is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- how many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
- how much does my insurance pay for an Out-of-Network provider?
- is approval required from my primary care physician?
Individual Counseling
55 minute session – $125
Couples Counseling
90 minute initial session – $175
50 minute session – $150
Sliding Scale
I care deeply about providing my services to those that cannot afford my regular rate. Therefore, I offer a handful of sliding scale slots. The idea behind this scale is that you determine the fee that corresponds with your financial situation. I will not judge (positively or negatively) the fee your finances dictate. Please let me know during our initial consultation if you feel you cannot pay the full regular rate.
Good Faith Estimate
According to the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You will receive detailed information about the cost of your therapist session in the Disclosure Statement you sign at the beginning of therapy. This statement outlines the cost of each session you attend, as well as noting that services are expected to be provided weekly until treatment is terminated. You can also ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
